Welcome to my GT/CS Registry Site. This is an update (January 2010) that supersedes any and all previous updates, fliers, postings, etc.
The GT/CS Recognition Guide and Owner's Manual (second edition) is currently nearing completion after "years" of research and documentation.
This is a book unlike any other Mustang book, in that it covers one marque in great detail. I raised the bar this time, and wanted to tell the GT/CS story with more research and interesting information--as well as many never-before-seen photos. Since the GT/CS has taken off recently as a late model Mustang (including the new 2011 GT/CS), getting the history right about the original 1968 version is more important than ever.
The book will cover the following information on the 1968 GT/CS, with additional information on the 2007-2011 GT/CS models:
1. History, Marketing & Sales--
California Car Culture demands it's own unique Mustang - 68 Mustang Makes it Happen! - New ponycar competition, and a strike prompts a new Mustang idea for California - CS idea to production - CS parts development - - The GT/Sports Coupe - Little Red and The Shelby Connection - A.O. 5. The GT/CS Registry: Data, Photos & Owner Experiences--

Comprehensive data gathering and sorting will make this one of the most detailed and exciting Mustang Registries ever! Authenticity checking in this registry will be made possible through owner-provided Marti Report information.
6. The GT-500 Little Red & The EXP-500 Green Hornet Stories--
These are the stories about the two most famous Mustang coupes on the planet! Little Red was the late-67 Shelby prototype coupe idea, that inspired the GT/CS! The Green Hornet was the Shelby test bed for big-block fuel injection; and an independent rear suspension, built from a GT/CS pilot production car. This is the complete story, including its discovery and restoration . An added book bonus! Specifications are included.

I have a tenative, but committed completion schedule for this book. After much time and tedious effort, I am making every effort to have it completed by Mid-February, 2010. At that point, it goes to Ford for review (as per my license with Ford). I am not sure how long that will take; hopefully not more than a week or two. Then, it goes to the printer, which is scheduled for four weeks. The final target date to have in in my hands by April 30th. I will provide more current updates here, and at the SAACforums' GT/CS area as the project progresses to it's completion.
During the last 12 months, this book project has taken on a life of it's own as new information and never-before-seen photographs surfaced, requiring much rework of the content and organization. I want to provide the best book ever on this Mustang, and I know that you will appreciate the final product, once it becomes available. I have decided to add a few more pages on the new 2011 GT/CS, to take advantage of this recent development, and I'm sure that you'll be interested in that story with related photos.
Those who have reserved copies will get the first shipment. I have Tony Branda Performance as a retailer, and will add Galpin Auto Sports as another. Many magazine editors have expressed great interest in the book, and will be reviewing it in their upcoming issues, as well as their websites. I very much appreciate all the support and reserved books that have helped make this book happen!
At some point during the spring of 2010, I have tenatively set up another wonderful GT/CS Party, BBQ, and Book Signing at Galpin Auto Sports in Los Angeles. I will know more about this and will update here when it will be happening. I expect this to be as big if not bigger than our last event--which was fantastic!!
In August, 2010, the Shelby American Automotive Club (SAAC.com/) is having "SAAC 35" at the Sears Point (Infineon) Raceway on August 27-28-29, 2010. They have invited me and we are setting up a GT/CS "Mini-Convention". I would like to see as many GT/CSs and their owners at this event! We have lots of things planned, within the regular convention. I will be posting convention information as it becomes available.
For continuing "conversation" about the GT/CS, you can visit: SAACforum.com, and scroll down to the "GT/CS" area (Note: I am no longer connected to "Calif. Special. com").
If you wish to obtain a flier to order the book, or register your GT/CS (1968, 2007-09) by regular mail, please send it to my new address, along with your complete name and address, and email address:
